FAQsHow do I book?No bookings are required by members who wish to fish, but please carry your valid membership card with you at all times. Adventure activities must be booked in advance and are provided by Highland Activities, an independent organisation who will make all arrangements and levy their own charge. Please email adventures@highlandactivities.co.uk Can I keep the fish I catch? Unfortunately not. Fish is Scottish waters take a long time to grow and we hope that you will agree that it is only proper to return your catch at the end of the day. How long does it last?Activities can be tailored to your own needs but usually 1.5 to 2 hours.Do I need to have previous experience?No, full training will be given prior to an activity commencing and only when your instructor is satisfied will he commence with proceedings. Is there an age limit for the activities?The minimum age as stipulated by our insurers is 12 for quad biking, and 10 for clay pigeon shooting. For archery and pony trekking the minimum age is 8. We have no maximum age for the activities, but due to the nature of our activities we would stress that participants need to be reasonably fit. Are your activities safe?All of our activities are safe as long as you follow the full instructions and briefing given by our fully trained staff. Safety equipment is also provided. What shall I wear?Full waterproof clothing is provided by us to wear over your normal clothes but it is advisable to wear something that you don't mind getting muddy plus a pair of boots or sturdy shoes. How many people are in each group?We operate a maximum of 6 people plus an instructor to maintain adequate levels of supervision. If you have more than 6 people wanting to participate please click here to see our page for multi-activity days Can I bring my own quad bike?Unfortunately we are unable to offer this at the moment, but may look into opening up a separate course in the future. Can I bring my own shotgun? Yes, you can bring your own shotgun to the clay pigeon shoot if required. We will provide clays, cartridges and an operator for the traps What qualifications do your staff hold?Every instructor holds relevant national governing body awards for the activity they will be leading. They are also required to hold a current first aid certificate. |
